Hi all. I've been lurking around here for a few weeks and figured it was time to say something.

I've seen so many fabulous ideas on here that I didn't know where to begin! I finally decided to go the melted bead route and this is what I came up with. Crap? Any good? I have no idea, but I like it!

The colors came out a tad bright in the picture, but they actually match my livingroom colors pretty well.

Thhanks for your opinions TallTeenTurtle and xx_Kellybean!!

Did you use Perler beads? Interesting. I've only ever used pony beads and they are a pain in the ass to get melted just right. I bet that perler beads would melt much much faster.

I really like the pattern...

Also it reminds me a of melted record bowls, which I have made many a time.

Thanks all  Smiley

Pink Hickey ......I used pony beads actually. I laid them out on a foil lined cookie sheet and baked them at 450 until they melted, then I lifted it out, foil and all and set it over the top of a metal bowl and pressed a flat bottom with another piece of foil.

Word of advice......it makes your kitchen stink! I had to turn on the stove fan and open the back door.
