** edit for link to current swap sign ups, now to July 11th http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=179945.0 **

So we have been going strong in the sweat shoppe swaps, as we are gearing up for round 8. I thought I'd give new people a chance to understand the sweat shop swap, ask questions, discuss and brainstorm...

So, basically the sweat shoppe swap is a sampler swap. You make 5 like items and get 5 different items back. There are no 'partners' per se, you will send to 5 random people, and will receive from 5 other people. There is an opportunity for you to pick your favorite things from the other sweat shoppers, and the organizer makes a GIANT effort to match you up with those items. The items you submit should be resonably close to a retail price of $7-$10. If you are unsure of the value your item, post a new topic in the business discussion thread and ask people, OR you can ask here. Please don't ask me to judge your work!!! Smiley

PLease feel free to ask any questions you might have. I will post all the links to other sweat shoppe swaps shortly!

Sign ups for round 8...

Definitely up for round eight!  But could we push send outs back a week or two?  This round is going to be just a SSS, right?  I'm in no shape for a shop the swap round(although it was a ton of fun!!!).

I'm thinking crochet... but what to offer.  Headbands, skull caps, smallish drawstring wrist purse?  I'd love a few suggestions...

I'm up for another round.  Thinking maybe sock monkey head pincushions...with a funny little hat or something to actually put the pins in, so you don't hurt the monkey.   Trying to think of a second thing to offer...

I'm thinking spring with wee bunnies and carrot embroideries or maybe little circle flowers.

These are soooooooooooo cute!!!!!!! I really love them.  Kiss

Also adorable is the Cupcake O' Doom!!

Now I have to come up with something adorable to offer. Wink

ooohh I don't think I can resist one of these again.
I was thinking of doing something with glass because I have a lot of glass paint from another project. Would anyone want a set of painted glass candle holders? Other painted glass things?
I can also crochet, any ideas for that? I can crochet almost anything.
I really want to join, let me know what you guys want!

These crochet ice cream cones look really cute! But one seems too small and don't think I would get really sick of them if I had to make 2 for everyone. What do you guys think?
