I made this for my goddaughter's first birthday. Her name is Naomi, and she kindly agreed to pose for a few pictures:

Her face is embroidered:

... she's got a kind heart...

... she'll never forget her birthday...

... and this is the two of us!

Oh that is so cute!  I made dolls like that for my 4 grand daughters 2 Christmases ago and I put the heart on them also like that.  I couldn't do the yarn hair though, so I knitted little wigs and sewed them to the heads LOL.

WAAAH!  I miss my Raggedy Ann dolls from when I was little...

Any little girl would LOVE Naomi.

It looks great! The only thing is that for children under 5, buttons are very dangerous. You might want to consider removing the eyes and doing french knots instead, just for safety. If it's going to be a "display only" kind of doll, then it's probably not a big deal.
