Boy this brings back memories. My Mother & I made many of these years ago we made a bunch of these, infact I might still have 1 or 2 hanging around somewhere. Also maybe the instructions not sure. I received a store bought one for a present & my Mother copied it, she was very good at copying things. So I'll have to look for it! If I do I'll take a pic of it & If I have my Mother's own pattern, I'll put it on here too. It'll take me a little while to find it. These are pretty cool! Haven't thought of these Cats in years!!

I found my Cat I made maybe 30 yrs. ago somewhere there. She has the plastic eyes & I painted on them so they would look more cat like. I didn' find my Mother's pattern but I found a craft magazine. I know I can't show it here but the name is Quick & Easy Crafts April 1994. It's called a BonBon Cat  a lot newer than my Moms hers was in the 70's I think. It's pretty much like"funthreads" tute. Though the body has 3 sections a upper & 2 lower sections. And I'm not quite sure about her peices of felt in between the sections. But it probably helps.
So anyway I think maybe for a sturdier Cat why not use Fleece & cut strips & tie it somehow & kind of do the same thing. I'll have to think about it. This has not been played with very much & been stored for 20+ yrs.

My 30 yr.old BonBon Cat

Side View, the yarn is very soft. I can't remember the name.
What do you think of the old girl?

I found another site that has the pattern. It took me awhile but I finally found one.

wow these pictures bring back memories.  I have all the cardboard cut outs with the direstions on what to do with each cardboard, but I do not have any instructions on how to put it together once I have all the yarn wrapped.  If anyone has the full direction I would appreciate either a place to purchase or a link to download or an email with the pattern/directions.  Craftergranny2004@yahoo.com

Thank you so much for the walk down memory lane, the lady that gave me most of the boards has since passed on so I can't go to her.

Where do I find the tutorial?  I've clicked on the picture and everything highlighted in blue, but can't find it.  Was it deleted?  TIA

"Heather Graves" for some reason it doesn't come up on the mobile site. If you go on the web site view then you can click on it & you will get to see the yarn cat or like the Bon Bon cat!
Hope that helps!
