My first boy beanie cap from the book! Made by using 'boy' colours, or rather, not the colours I would have preferred to use, like pink and purple. Heh!

I'm not sure why my boyfriend is squinting and looking so upset, though. I can only hope it's because he isn't wearing his glasses. Smiley

Maybe he's thinking really hard.... maybe it's his thinking cap!

I like the colors for a guy. No matter how many times I see this hat, it works so well! Great job!

 Smiley

I also made one, but it looks nothing like that... I think I've been doing the dc wrong...only thru the back loops and not the whole loop... but i still like it!!  I've never been able to follow the directions that correctly... it's also for a boy although i picked neutral colors, slightly girly i guess.

it looks like a boy can wear this beanie right? right?

Both the hats look great!  Mysterious eyes on the one in the second picture.   Smiley Oh man, now I want to make another, somebody stop me!

hi lisiepeasie, yep.  I did the backloop through the entire beanie... since i thought the backloop is the normal dc...  i'm going to try another one today... hopefully the way of the pattern today.

Is it me, or are there too many rounds? before one gets to the color changes?  I find that doing all the rounds isn't necessary.. perhaps the next one i make I should just not do the round 7-9 and go straight into the color changes...

on the boy beanies that i've made, i've actually added a couple of rounds before the color change.

maybe since i've been testing them on my own head that it's too large...maybe that's why it's called a BOY BEANIE.

hm.
