I think a drop spindle is kinda personal.  I like a heavy top whorl spindle.  My favorites are my Schact Hi Lo and my Ashford drop spindle.  I really love the Ashford, it's new and I'm having a blast with it.  I think it's easier to keep a heavier spindle going longer, which I like, plus I can wind more yarn on before having to start over because I ran out of room.  However, the heavier the spindle, the more likely your fiber will break so you may need a lighter one if you have trouble with breakage.

That is just like...ridiculous.S pinning and weaving are competing for the top spot on my to do list at the moment. After seeing this I am thinking spinning. Smiley It goes with knitting better anyhoo.  Smiley you have skills girl!
