I've been dying to knit a capelet - and have finally found one I love.  But alas, no pattern Sad

It's featured in People's Winter Style Watch and also available at this link: http://www.seenon.com/search/esprit/all/product/product/people-ultimate-gift-guide-esprit-merino-wool-capelet (kind of a small pic though).

Any ideas where I can find a similar pattern?

Thanks!

Check out the book Wrap Style.  There is a capelet in there called Wandering Aran Fields that has that shape, but a different cable pattern.  Changing the cable pattern would be simple enough. The book also has instructions on adapting styles/shapes.

Here's a picture of a beautiful version of Wandering Aran Fields from out in blogland

OOh!  That's it.  I love it!  Wrapstyle here I come!  Now if only I could finish it before spring. . . .

Thank you so much - I now have to knit that capelet too!  It is perfect with the collar and buttons.  The shape doesn't look like the one in Wrap Style though. I must find a closer pattern!

I made a Wandering Aran Fields capelet and really enjoyed it. I used a burgandy Cascade 220 and it turned out really well. I posted a picture here on craftster (pic of me wearing it is on page 2)and on the wrap style knitalong blog here, where there are some other lovely Wandering Aran Fields capes as well. I really like the Wrap Style book.
There is another capelet pattern with cables that you may like here. It doesn't button in the front but maybe you could modify it.

Your capelet is beautiful - I love that color.  It looks more like the picture on a person, so I might just give it a go!
