What about setting aside a stay at home night for the two of you as a date type thing, you could cook something thats easy like pasta and red sauce (guys love home cooked meals), watch a movie, since hes getting into reggae I would suggest The Harder They Come, witch is about reggae and Jamaica, and cuddle on the couch. If you wanted it to look more pulled together to give him an actual gift on valentines day, you could get a basket and put in it some pop corn, movie rental gift certificates, you could write out "gift" certificates for the other things such as making dinner, and maybe certificates for bad movie habits such as, I will not talk for 10 mints during an important scene or something and maybe even a blanket to cuddle with? That would be my suggestion

You could get some plain sticks (drum sticks lol) and spray/paint/decorate them valentine-sy. or you could get some budget price sticks  (7 sets!) and do a different pattern for each day of the week! ooh, i might do that for my boyf who's a bit of a drummer too!

If you wanted to get him something store bought, you could get him some cool sticks or brushes. if you've got good funds  Cheesy you could get him a new cymbal.
hope this was a wee bit useful! let us know whatya do!

Haha, I'm a drummer..

Does he have a stick-bag? If not, one would probably be very much cool indeed...and you can design all over it, too.
