I haven't made one of these in a long time and certainly not one this big. I made it for crafty_dame. She was so awsome to craft for.

Wow! What an awesome stitching job! When I was in college, one of my professors had a shirt with a neuron embroidered on the back. I've always wanted to make a science-teacher-geek lab coat that was something cool (besides tie-dye...it's been done...and overdone). I might have to embroider one because this looks so fantastic!

Did you create your own pattern? If you could let me know how you did that, I'd appreciate it (and I hope you don't say you drew it out freehand...I'd be dead in the water!)!

Kittykill, that's gorgeous.  Did you draw it from memory, or get the image from an anatomy book or ...?  I love the finished product!

i have a tote just like that that i got on sale from michael's to do something like this with. you've inspired me!!!

i used to do silly little cross-stitch projects when i was little; how hard would it be to do a project like this? and what stitch(es) did you use?

Thanks everybody!  Cheesy I got a picture from the magazine/book "Crap Hound" I found a picture, enlarged it and then drew it on sulky. The ones that I have done in the past I've used the white transfer paper but that always kinda rubbed off.

I think Sublime Stitching sales Crap Hound on her website.

I've been wanting to make my sister an embroidered heart like this.  She collects anatomy/biology-type things.

Your heart rocks!  I hope my attempt turns out this well.
