so i just moved to santa cruz about a month ago to go to university here, and i need some blank t shirts baaaaaaaaaaad. but i dont know where anything is around here. iv tried onlines directories etc. but they're of no help. so does anyone know where in santa cruz or near by i can buy some blank shirts for stenciling. id hope for a place with a good selection in colors and sizes, like a t shirt warehouse, but at this point anything would help.

thanx in advance for any help.

I know this is an old thread, but boy does the crafting supply situation in Santa Cruz bite!  I had to say it.

Hey fellow Cruzians!

Well I thought I'd add my two cents.  Losermilk, I hope you already found some t-shirts, but if you haven't yet, you might want to try the new American Apparel store that just opened downtown.  I'm not sure how pricey they are, but they definitely have a wide range of colors and fits, and best of all they're sweatshop-free, so no guilty feelings.

As for the craft supply situation, it's not so bad.  I personally try to avoid going to Beverly's, at least for fabric, as they tend to cater to the "I-like-to-make-cheesy-old-lady-crafts" set.  For fabrics, I'm in love with Hart's on Soquel Ave.  They have a nice selection of fun, retro prints.  As far as craft supplies go, there's Palace, but it's a bit pricey.  There's also Lenz, which I'm not too familiar with, but hey, I might get a job there (hooray for purple polo shirts with teal embroidery  Undecided) . . . Also, for those of you who like paper crafts, there's Scrap-It in Capitola.  And don't forget, those of you on a budget looking for random shit, the fabulous, fabulous Bargain Barn!!  I mean, c'mon, who can beat clothing at a dollar a friggin' pound?!?

So that's my plug in defense of this sleepy little hippy beach town.  Roll Eyes

i lied, it's in campbell. D&J Hobby. I swear, it's the best. They have a lot of just crafty kits, supplies, not so much art supplies, but crafty. And in the back they have all this stuff for doll house making. Like kits and minutre everything and hecka balsa wood and wallpaper and fake plants and fllowers and basically it's heaven and you don't have to drive up to SF

I actually have sort of a morbid fascination with miniatures, so I'll have to check this place out some weekend when I have enough free time on my hands.  Thanks for the tip, anneli.
