wow. thanks, guys! it was a really fun hat to make, though I did have to use a combination of single crochet and herringbone half-double to keep it that way. making it all in sc might have got a little boring.

also, I forgot to mention in my original post that I used peace fleece for the beak and around the eyes.

oh that makes it even more superb peace fleece is the BEST!
