That's my favourite colour too, Hulla. I would use it for all my work if I thought the rest of the world would love it as much as I do, and now, maybe you!!
The fabrics are from a graduated dyed pack that I get from my fantastic dying lady. I really prefer a monotone palette to work on. Although I love the look of traditional victorian Crazy quilts, I just can't get my head around all that colour together Undecided
I have made one bag with *lots* of colour. I hate it, but others love it. Each to there own.

I agree with the monotone color pallette.  Things look so much more put together that way most of the time.
Where do you sell these?

kiwikrafter, those are just beautiful!  Can you post at least one detail shot?  I'd love to see the embroidery in a close up....  It needs to be appreciated more fully, I think!   Cheesy

lafemmefatale, I have tried markets, but they don't want to pay what I'm asking. This last lot, a wonderful lady who owns a clothing store bought the whole lot, for my asking price and said she could easily sell them for 100% mark up. She may get the profit, but it is nice that someone has that confidence in my work
I'm thinking about etsy, but I just don't know.
sweet_avalanche, if you click on my flickr link and go back a few pages, you will find detail shots of everything.

Oh, thanks!  They are truly lovely!   The other pieces you have are amazing too.

And (totally OT, sorry) I see the "kiwi" is for NZ!  (I misread it as "kwik" previously - whoops!).   One of my best friends lives in Christchurch and my husband and I spent a couple weeks exploring the south island on our honeymoon a couple years ago...  So beautiful.  We fantasize about moving there some day, if only we were more adventurous...   Wink

lol sweet_avalanche. I'm so NOT adventurous I won't even move out of my suburb, and it is one of the worst in New Zealand.
The South Island is beautiful, my partner and I toured it a few years ago, 7 to be exact, just before kids!

These bags are just beautiful.  They have the look of the crazy quilt but not the busyness of the ones with all the color.  I just love all of them.  I'd love to make one like them but I don't think I have the patience for all that hand work.  You've done a great job with it all.

I'm interested in personal swaps -- I love bracelets & necklaces and I don't know how to make them.

Having not posted on craftster for a really long time, I feel the need to apologise for breaking  rules...because I just read them.
Although I am not advertising stuff to sell, because I do not have a place to sell, was just letting you know that they SOLD, which is a big 'YAY' when you hope to make some money from your passion.
