That's my favourite colour too, Hulla. I would use it for all my work if I thought the rest of the world would love it as much as I do, and now, maybe you!!
The fabrics are from a graduated dyed pack that I get from my fantastic dying lady. I really prefer a monotone palette to work on. Although I love the look of traditional victorian Crazy quilts, I just can't get my head around all that colour together Undecided
I have made one bag with *lots* of colour. I hate it, but others love it. Each to there own.

I agree with the monotone color pallette.  Things look so much more put together that way most of the time.

lafemmefatale, I have tried markets, but they don't want to pay what I'm asking. This last lot, a wonderful lady who owns a clothing store bought the whole lot, for my asking price and said she could easily sell them for 100% mark up. She may get the profit, but it is nice that someone has that confidence in my work
I'm thinking about etsy, but I just don't know.

Oh, thanks!  They are truly lovely!   The other pieces you have are amazing too. 

And (totally OT, sorry) I see the "kiwi" is for NZ!  (I misread it as "kwik" previously - whoops!).   One of my best friends lives in Christchurch and my husband and I spent a couple weeks exploring the south island on our honeymoon a couple years ago...  So beautiful.  We fantasize about moving there some day, if only we were more adventurous...   Wink

lol sweet_avalanche. I'm so NOT adventurous I won't even move out of my suburb, and it is one of the worst in New Zealand.
The South Island is beautiful, my partner and I toured it a few years ago, 7 to be exact, just before kids!

These bags are just beautiful.  They have the look of the crazy quilt but not the busyness of the ones with all the color.  I just love all of them.  I'd love to make one like them but I don't think I have the patience for all that hand work.  You've done a great job with it all.
