2/18/12 - I no longer have the directions for wrapped pens, I lost them several years ago. To obtain them for yourself, do like I did, contact DMC threads directly and ask for them.

I had a request from another crafter to join this swap.  She is not a Discworld fan, but her husband is a massive fan and she wanted to know if she could swap for goods for her husband (i.e. she would craft for her partner, and her partner would craft for her husband).  Now, I know that we have had "Significant Other" swaps on Craftster, but I wanted to ask your opinion on whether it would be ok for her to join.  I don't want to prevent anyone from joining this swap, even if they have only read a couple of the books, but I also want to make sure that everyone receives something that they would like from their partner.

Hi Esmerelda,

Conley got stuck with me during the last swap and in that one too, hubby was the major fan even though I'd read a couple of the books and have been known to channel Nanny Ogg on occassion.  What I found was that as I began crafting for Conley, I started doing research in the books and ended up reading three more of them.  I'm working my way through hubby's stash (he has every one in hardcopy, some even signed by TP).  I think hope that Conley was OK with what she got from me and I was super excited about what she sent.  Hubby got DOR and I got the pig.  Everything that was sent has been utilized and loved by both of us.  I vote to allow and have a new TP devotee!

I'll be PMing you soon to get into this round.

You're such a sweetie.

I'd probably have to get divorced if I didn't participate in a Discworld swap.  It's the main reason I get to play on Crackster as much as I do! Grin  Kind of like when I got to redo our entire bathroom with the promise of a new bathtub that he could practically swim in! Roll Eyes

Randomness...any The Producers fans out there?  All of a sudden I read the title of this thread and had the melody of "Springtime for Hitler" stuck in my head.  Roll Eyes

Sing it with me now:

Springtime for Discworld and Ankh-Morpork
Lancre is happy and gay...

Yep, I've a twisted mind.   Tongue
