It looks good - and we have the same floor lamp .... you can change the shade in something more fun - much more that you are in the arts  Wink from where did you get the fabric?

Your images aren't boring at all -- they look great!

I've got 4 small (maybe 5 x 7") canvases that I've been meaning for ages to stretch some kimono fabric over and hang, and your photos are definitely an inspiration.  Your stretched fabric is very artsy and striking.

(P.S. Love the sarcasm society poster....)

I love the stretched fabric wall hanging with the girl's face. I actually saw this fabric at my local Hobby Lobby a few months ago and couldn't justify paying $9/yard for it. I could kick myself now though because I was thinking of making a tote or hobo bag with it and now I can't find it anywhere. I believe it's Robert Kaufman and I even looked on his site but only found the matching stripes fabric which I already have.  Do you remember where you got this fabric at? I'm dying to get my hands on a yard or two of it now but have had no luck at all.

Anyways, love your apartment decorations. I need to get working on my apartment.

My craft supply philosophy I stole from a line from AVP. ''I'd rather have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.'' But, they were talking about a condom. Tongue

QUESTION........... ....i'm in Holland/Netherlands.........what are whiffle balls.

I can see them in the picture but are they made  so you make sculpture with them or are they meant for children/animals to play with?Huh

I want some and when I know what they are actually for i might be able to find some online.
thanks

Oh yeah nice house and nice things you have .... i like the poster for the SARCASM SOCIETY  very much.

awesome, thanks for all of the positive feedback!  on the whiffle balls, yes, we're going to do a few colored (is that the pc term?) ones, probably just spray paint them since i've never seen any other color than white and bright yellow...and i'm gonna have to slow down on the apartment crafting since i'm running a little low on the moneys right now...but i will post as i make things.   speaking of, i just finished some candle holders that are glass jars (small ones) that i glued chop sticks around (i have TONS of chop sticks) and i just got around to putting candles in them, but man they are a bitch to light...i'll post some pictures this weekend....i think they're pretty nifty...

p.s. just realized this, but i lost my password to my old account and it kept messing up when i tried to have it emailed to me (don't ask why, just didn't) so i started a new account and this is it...

All of your fabric patterns are great!  I have silk pillowcases on my sofa and they look nice, but it's hard to get them to match texture-wise to any other fabric.  Are all the fabrics the same kind of material?  Did that effect your choice?

well, it kinda helped that i bought them together...but i try to stick to cotton since it's pretty durable and cheap...but since you already have silk ones, what i'd do is find other fabrics that are similar in color but don't have a crazy pattern on them.  that way you have many pillows, but the extras don't overshadow the nice silk ones...or....you could go crazy and choose fabrics that all have different textures so that it looks like you went for the "eclectic" look on purpose, just keep them in the same color scheme...

I love your candleholders - they're so tiki lounge! Do you mind me asking how you made them?

sure, it was pretty simple.  i had some small glass jars (ours were from artichoke hearts) and then i hot glued chopsticks around them and then hot glued some hemp around the base to disguise the messyness of the bottom...easy as pie!!! (not that pie is easy to make or anything...)
