I'm so pleased with how this turned out, I've loved working on it! Grin I've been creating my own journals in this style for years, and I finally made a finished mini-book art piece. It even has pullout bits!

Whole thing:

Cover:

A couple of the pages:

And all the inserts together!

Thank you everyone! Grin

WOW! This book is fabulous. Can you explain more clearly how it is bound?

It's in 2 parts, there are the pages, which are all longer on the right and have tabs so they can be folded over and glued to hold the inserts. These are sewn together in the middle. And the cover, which is folded over at both sides to hold the pages, with the same tabs. Slits at the edges of the cover mean that the ribbon goes all the way through on the inside. Hope that makes sense? I can draw a diagram/template if that's of any use?

Thank you all!

I can't claim this to be all my idea though, it's partly mine as I've been working like this for many years, but in more muted colours, and partly Teesha Moore inspired. She inspired me to work in more vibrant colours!

OH MY!!!! I can't believe I missed this one!  I guess I was in the hospital in a neck brace last week when it got posted, so that's a decent enough excuse.  It is DIVINE!  Literally, my jaw dropped and I think I actually salivated a bit.

EXCELLENT work, my friend.  That is amazing.

Nice job! Looks great. I've never been good at making Artist Books, I think it's because I'm not good at making perosnal/introspective art. I took a class on it once in college, but I just sucked. Yours turned out awesome. You know these Artist Books sell for a pretty penny...

Thanks! I'd make these every week if I could, especially if I sold them for those pretty pennies! Grin I love making/altering books like this.
