These are my signature craft trinket. I make these straw shrimp all the time and I give them to everyone I like. I taught them as a short lesson/presentation in class five years ago, when I first figured out how to make them and I've continued teaching them as an activity for the animal rights group I started at school Smiley

Edit: They turn out quite nicely when they're made of transparent or striped straws Smiley

I like that they only require a single drinking straw, a pair of scissors, and no glue, tape, or anything of that sort Smiley

Hehe, I'll see if I can find the tutorial I made.
I can make grasshoppers and I think a giraffe, but I can't quite remember.
Shrimp are really my favourite thing to make, because I like how the bend fits in perfectly Wink

They use exactly one straw, require only one pair of scissors, and no glue, tape or anything of that sort. Thank you!!

awesome shrimp - if you make a tutorial I'll finally have something cool to make when I fiddle with restaurant straws while waiting for dinner (other than just mangling them). this rocks! Grin

I like these!  They are so clever and funky.  I NEED to know how to make a couple of them, as they are so perfect for something I have to do.  Thanks for posting them!
