hey pretty!  thanks!  Nope, no circulars.  just straight 12" needles.  there are only 73 stitches on the needle, so it doesn't take up too much room.  though if you wanted to di circulars, you most certainly could.  it's a really really simple pattern and honestly, great for a beginner.  this is the second one i've knit.  the pattern can be found on www.michaels.com.  just type in 24157 in the search box at the top.  ya can't beat free patterns.  Smiley

hope you make it and hope you post pictures.  Smiley

You can do either one. Depends on how big or small the blanket will be, I suppose.

K8thagr8--I love the stitch you used! It's so unique, especially for a baby blanket! I'm used to seeing simple squares with some yucky frills around the edge.  Tongue I much prefer your's!!

I like to do personal swaps now and again.

I knit, crochet, and make stitch markers.

Just pm me if you wanna swap. Smiley

thanks!!  it's such an easy blanket to make, too!!  with a yarn like the one i used tis time around (the suggested yarn for the project), it's hard to really SEE the stitches, so if you do make a mistake, going back to fix it might make your head hurt a little, but you obviously don't have to use that yarn.  it's super soft though.  i was thinkning i'm like to make it yet again, but find a yarn that's soooo soft you almost don't feel it.  my niece has some baby blankets made (store-bought) of this material and i'm dying to find some and use it.  i just really like this pattern a lot because even thought i've been knitting for years, i still consider myself a beginner because i've not gotten very adverturous at all.  i'm incredibly tempted to make 4 or 9 of these and make an adult-sized blanet.  Smiley
