Bostonians,I have a mission for you...

MAKE MY TRIP TO BOSTON AWESOME! I am from chicago and visiting Boston for the first time the week after thanksgiving and I need to know the best neighborhoods/vintage shops/boutiques/fleamarkets etc. to go to.
Is there a neighborhood where all this goodness is clustered?
Tell me all about boston and what to go/do/see/eat/shop etc.

Garment District (a store)- it's in cambridge...  www.garmentdistrict.com
4 words- Clothing by the pound!

The Recycle Shop in the children's museum is amazing!  So many awesome things to use for crafty purposes!

of course you must do Newbury Street- it's an experience...

Food:  the North End- the italian area...  so good!
Mike's Pastry is a Boston legend- and it is amazing!

For cute boutiques, check out Charles St in Beacon Hill and Tremont St in the South End. Pricey, but cute stuff and will give you lots of ideas!

And of course you have to go to the original Filene's Basement in Downtown Crossing to find some good bargains!
