The last time I posted a sea urchin, I had long locs. They're gone now so the hat was now too big. I ripped it and started over, changed the rib and added a a teeny Icord worked with a purl st. And this time the hat is worked right side out. I swear I triple check to make sure all's good with this pattern. The pictures below shows the different ways of wearing the hat, in order of my preferences. The difference between the second to last and the last picture is that the last one completely covers my hair and that doesn't look good. Someone with long hair (or locs) could wear the hat this way. I posted the pattern on my blog. Hope you like this one

The first one was great, but I never made it because I was worried about the size. I'm going to make this one though!

It looks great on you! Thanks so much for sharing the pattern.

Yeah, same here, I liked the first version but it was way too big for the very small amount of hair I have.  I love this hat, though, and you look very cute in it.  I'm adding it to my list!

Nice Revamp! I think it still looks great. I love the Julia hat on you're blog but its in french!!!

I cut all my hair off like that a few years ago and I kind of felt the same way. Kind of like everyone was thinking I underwent chemo. I loved having short hair, though!! It was liberating just to shave it all off and start over. The Napptuality site is pretty useful so I stole that from you're blog as well. Thanks. Ok, that was all off subject but you're hat is still awesome and i'd stick with the newsboy style.

Kudos to you. I wouldnt have the courage to rip apart a masterpiece. I would've just saved it for later Smiley

I'll fixx the link for the Julia hat. I though I had done so but thanks for letting know.

Humm masterpiece, I'd say work in progress, this version being the definitive one... But thanks for the complements.

Humm, Stitch it Black, I looked up the link for my Julia hat and turns out it was simply a biligual post, ie, scroll down the page and you'll see the English version. It's the only pattern I've posted both versions in the same posting. Sorry for the confusion.
