Did you ever go shopping and end up buying more than you expected? Have you ever gone on a trip and found that your luggage seems to have shrunk while you were on vacation? Have you ever wished that your bag was just a little bit bigger?

Well, now all of your problems are solved!! Introducing, the amazing "Grow-A-Bag" - the bag that gets bigger as you need it!

Features:
3 size levels! Grows from 9 to 12 to 15 inches!
Undo the buttons to "grow" your bag as much (or as little) as you need!
Attractive cherry fabric lining with coordinating pocket!
Handy carry handles!
Also rolls up for compact storage!

*Edit*- I seem to be having a problem with my image...I've uploaded it as a GIF file, so the quality isn't very good...I'll see if I can get a better image tomorrow!

I'd love to be able to see this bag, but the picture is not working for me.

**Edit--I can now see the pic.  Great bag.  I absolutely love it.  A tute would be excellent Wink

Wow, this is a really great bag idea! And especially great for this challenge. I would love to see more pics/info about how you did it and how it's put together.

Hmmm... a tute...it would be my first...I'll have to work on that after I get caught up with everything I didn't do while I was working on the bag! It wasn't hard, but it took a lot of math for me to get it all right on the first try!

So...I hereby promise a tute by the end of the month, if not sooner (vacation in a couple of weeks). Maybe I'll have to make another one and fix some of the "issues" I had with this one...then I could take pictures, even...

Okay, I'm not sure if this picture will work (I still don't know why it wouldn't work), but if it does, it's a better quality image than the other one (which I'm leaving up just in case!). Hopefully, you'll be able to see some of the detail in the bag (and I LOVE this cherry print fabric- it looks so crisp against the solid red!).

So here goes!

Oh my.  Fabulous doesn't even begin to describe the design of this bag!  How creative!  The fabric is perfect and I will be anxiously awaiting the tutorial.

Did you just think of this on your own or did you see something similar?  I ask because I have never seen anything like it before.

Did I say fabulous? HeHe Grin

this is incredibly clever! There have been so many times I have been visiting friends (taking the train there, snagging a ride home) and I never have enough space in my bag for all the stuff I bring back. Clearly, this is how!

Something like this would be perfect to take to classes.  I'm currently switching bags depending on the day and I never fail to leave something I need in the other bag.  The cherry print is fabulous!

I went to the fabric store tonight to get fabric for my "tutorial" bag...which will become a gift, I think. As I was driving home, I was thinking about how much weight the bag would hold when it was buttoned up. It hasn't been tested, yet...so Linnybelle, I don't know if it would hold books when "closed." I'll have to (gingerly) test it out...I'll let you know...  Wink

And, I loved this cherry print so much that I bought 3 more yards of it when I was at JoAnn's!

What a great idea. We have something similar at home for travelling abroad where you just unzip part of the bottom. But to think about making one for everyday use is very clever. (The one I was talking about gets about as tall as a person.)  Roll Eyes
