i am learning how to crochet. i am practicing single crochet and as i work it- my piece keeps getting smaller and smaller. i crochet a chain then a skip one chain and start single crocheting, at the end of the single crochet row i turn the work and begin single crocheting without skipping a chain this time, i have no idea what i am doing wrong, please help!

At the end of your row chain 1 before you start the next row.

 Grin don't feel bad -- I did exactly the same thing countless times. Remembering how long the turning chain is always stumps me, and I nearly always look it up before I start a new project  Cheesy
