Hey, I'm Amber. I make drawings and print them on shirts.

http://www.myaimistrue.com/lj/robot.jpg

This is my friend Robot. He lives on t-shirts. Robot makes an excellent companion and fashion accessory.

http://www.myaimistrue.com/lj/gracebot.jpg

Robot is printed in three colors: gray, hot pink and black. He is screenprinted on a white t-shirt using the 6-color shirt press at my school.

Let me know what you guys think. I just learned to screenprint shirts, so more designs will be coming soon. I plan on trying to do one edition of shirts per month.

Feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

YAY! Robot Roolz! I bookmarked your LJ page and will be placing an order as soon as I get paid again (the drudgery of living paycheck to paycheck - *GROAN!*)

I think that your sales pitch was very discreet and not at all inappropriate for this forum, BTW. Just my opinion. Smiley

That's really awesome!  I've been doing some stencils with just one color - do you have any tips for doing successful screenprinting?

Well, I printed this on the 6-color press at my school, so I burned the screens and did it the "professional" way I guess. So I can't really offer any tips for doing it at home. You should check out some of the livejournal screenprinting communities. There are a lot of helpful tips and techniques there.

Also, www.stencilrevolution.org has some really good information on multicolored stencils.

If you have any questions about drawing overlays or anything, let me know.. I'm really new at this too. (Robot is my first shirt).

I know. I'm sorry. My domain name expired for my website, and I have no idea what the login or password is to renew it. AND to boot, my administrative email address changed.. so I'm going through a big pain in the butt to try to get it back online.

I hope the pictures will be back up soon. <3

Hey Amber - is it too late to order a shirt? Or did you make any extras? I am still really interested, but seem to have accidentally missed your cut-off date!  Embarrassed    Thanks!

I actually will be finishing them up this weekend. I had to re-burn a screen. What size were you looking for? I have a couple extras. Go ahead and pay through paypal and I'll send you one. They will probably ship Monday the 1st.

Thanks ladies.

I go to school at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA.

Also, livilovesolives, if you want, you can buy one today. I'm reprinting a few tomorrow that didn't work out. The paypal info should still work. Click the link in my original post. Just be sure to specify your size when ordering. Thanks for the interest!
