You can use a vintage pattern or make something vintage-inspired.  It's up to you.

I just made a baby set out of a book my mom had from the 50's. I've already posted it under finished projects, would I still be able to enter it even tho' I've put it up? I didn't notice the Feb. challenge at the time....

This is probably a stupid question, but I didn't see the answer anywhere in this thread, soooo...

Does the item have to be knit in February?  Can it be something started ahead of time and finished in February?  Or something made earlier that fits the theme?

I'm sorry if I somehow skipped the answer to this, and it's already out there.  It seems like it would have to be something made in February, but I thought I'd ask.

JeJune, its okay if you have already made the item, so long as you said item fits all the guidelines (vintage etc) and you have good pictures, then go for it.

Yep, anything you've made, just like regular Craftster challenges.  Doesn't matter when you started it so long as it's done by the end of Feb. Cheesy  And if you've already posted it elsewhere, that's fine too.

unfortunately I think I'm going to not enter this challenge, time is just a little too tight lately. But definitely the next one. So looking forward to seeing the entries!!!

February's knitting challenge, What Would Marple Knit, really brought out some great designs!  It's now time to vote for your favorite vintage or vintage-inspired knit!

February's challenge was another great success!  We had SO MANY contenders in this one!  Voting is now closed and we have a winner!  Congratulations to Jejune, for her Maude Louise Cardigan!!

For her efforts she wins:

A $10 gift certificate to ChezPlum Etsy Shop.  Choose a copy of her newest pattern, the Cactus Mittenettes, or any of her other beautiful patterns.
This prize generously donated by SylvChezPlum

A CD Collection of out of print, out of copyright vintage patterns from my personal collection of vintage patterns, ranging from before the turn of the 20th century through the 60's.  All the patterns have been investigated to be sure they are no longer protected by copyright!  Collection will include sweaters, dresses, jackets, coats and shrugs, accessories and sundries such as edgings, etc.
This prize generously donated by Lothruin the Knitting Mod.

Also, a hearty congratulations to our runners up, who made it a VERY close race:

With 18 votes, Heatherxxll for her Reynolds Lopi Sweater:

And with 17 votes each, katevsmothra's Steppin' Out Sweater:

And javede for Cotton Candy with Flair:

Also honorable mentions for EllenL's Nemesis with 15 votes and Arosep's Mystery Twists with 12 votes.

You guys all rock!  What a very very close race!
