Ahh, I love this.  Did you create the pattern yourself?  It's really great and the fact that it's for your mom is even better.  Now I want to make something for my mom!

Thanks!!
I made the pattern using PCStitch; the birds were from a (French, I think?) website full of free black & white cross stitch motifs. I had saved them a long time ago, and I didn't keep track of the website unfortunately. PCStitch will convert fonts to stitches, so I just typed in "fo' shizzle"

My mom seems to really get a kick out of stuff I make for her, so, yes! Make something for your mom!! hehe.

thanks thanks!! Cheesy

ok, so, after an hour or so sorting through my bookmarks and my del.icio.us links, I can't find where I got the stinking birds from.

So, this is not my pattern, it is likely from some page on http://xs.houseofkats.com/freebies.html , and I'm pretty positive it is for personal use, & don't use it for anything you sell!
(if this is not OK, I will take the image down...I just really can't find the page it came from to give it credit  Undecided )

Haha, I love this...so unexpected.  Smiley  My mom likes to adopt words and phrases like that, as well.

haha, that's awesome. my mom's begin to say 'pretty much' and 'for sure'. it makes me happy when she copies my vocabulary.

it was really cute of you to make this, as well.

That is really awesome.
Its pretty unsuspecting, with the birds. I like the colors, and it's something that if I made it for my mom, she would take it to work and proudly show it off to her co-workers. She has a habit of stealing my things to show off....(I'm 29 and a mother of three....)
