I found cute fabric that was supposed to be a large napkin or handkerchief.  There was only one piece left.  I knew when I saw it that I wanted to make it into a skirt.

Fun stuff.  I added three web buttons on the side.  Four ribbon belt loops, each with a large d-ring.  More ribbon, green tulle, and cute orange polka-dot fabric.

Took photos of it, although I'm not completely finished.  I am going to play around with it some more later.

PS.  The kitty is my foster kitty, Calla, from my local animal shelter.

I'm sure I can come up with one... even though I didn't use a pattern.
All I did was cut the huge square into two pieces.
Sewed them together...
Then pinned the skirt, tried it on, unpinned.  Re-pinned somewhere else, tried it on, unpinned it.
Over and over.
Gave me a small headache.
I will try to do a tutorial at some point.  I'm going to be in North Carolina this weekend cheering on a friend doing a triathalon!

Great skirt! I have those same exact socks. I wear them for volleyball; black and orange are our school colors.

It's adorable!  Would be great as part of a "punk witch" costume Smiley  I really want to celebrate halloween somehow but don't know if I'll be going out anywhere, so something like this is perfect - might have to make it like 6 inches longer for the office though - lol.

Listen.  I love you.  And I absolutely love halloween fabric.  I walk thought the fabric stores this time of year and see tonnes of skirts waiting to happen.  You did an awesome job, and your black cat is the perfect thing to be sitting on halloween fabric.

Did you by any chance get that fabric at Michaels lol?  I bought the same fabric and used it as a purse strap.  Your skirt is awesome, btw.  I love the orange fabric you used on the bottom!
