So in the upcoming new Interweave Knits for Spring 2007 the Tea Rose Halter Top by Wenlan Chia calls for Twinkle Cruise yarn, but when I went to look up stitch gauge info for it, I couldn't find anything.  Huh

It looks like Classic Elite produces the line, but there's no information there either.

From some Googling around, I found out that Twinkle Cruise is a DK weight, but I'd really like to find out the stitch gauge in case I want to do a yarn substitution when the magazine comes out.

Anyone know anything about the Twinkle yarns?

Classic Elite will be carrying the yarn soon. It will probably be out in stores in March or so. Here is a list of stores that will be carrying it: http://www.classiceliteyarns.com/twinkle_where_to_buy.php

I just received the new Patterworks catalog and there are two Twinkle yarns featured.  Cruise is one.  The book from the designer looks interesting, too.

The designer, Wenlan Chia, is coming out with a book next week that caught my eye.  Looks like everything's done with chunky yarn.  You can see some pics here: http://ohjoy.blogs.com/my_weblog/2007/01/twinkles_big_ci.html

I found her book on overstock cheaper than anywhere else, I think for around $20. Plus shipping was only 1.40 and I should be receiving it before its actual release...eeee!! From what Ive seen of it (those 2 sweaters on the oh joy blog), it looked awesome, so I went with my gut.

I love knitting with chunky yarn but dont love looking so round, and these patterns seem very fitted and thought out.

I have been LUSTING after the Twiggy Tunic since it was in the IK last summer.  I am so thrilled to see it in the book.  Thank you for the info about overstock must.go.buy.it!!!!!
