Three cheers for Fiber Friday! grayling40 - those are stunning! I love them all. You got a great color out of Kool-Aid there.

I have three yarns to show off. First up, "Breakfast at Tiffany's". This roving was inspired by the well known blue box, and plied with metallic holographic thread strung with 50 real pearls. It's 2.9 oz and 100 yards.

Painted desert: This yarn weighs 3.1 oz and measures 69 yards. It's made up of a mix of my stash: mill ends, mohair, silk noils, bamboo, and who knows what.

Seashells by the seashore: 80 yards, 3.5 oz. Loads of tiny shells. I spun up the yarn starting with with the sand colors and progressed to the sea and sky so when it is knit or crocheted, it should make somewhat of a landscape. I plied the yarn with holographic metallic thread that I had strung with small shells I got in Hawaii recently. (That took a LONG time!) I'm really happy with the results! the stats: 80 yards, 3.5 oz.

Beautiful job!
I love the colors and how you strung the pearls and the sea shells.  It is just gorgeous.

Thanks for sharing!

So pretty already this morning!  (Stupid job expecting me to be at work instead of home spinning.  grumble)

Grayling:  the color from the koolaid is really great!  I love how it's tone-on-tone.  Also, what is the linen like to spin?

Knitwit: yours are always amazing!  I would love to see how your Seashells by the Seashore knits/crochets up!  What a cool idea.

Calling this..Tourmaline...

bulky 2 ply corriedale 140+ yards, spun on my Lendrum...roving handdyed by me...

the roving on the right is what I spun the above yarn from..the more saturated colors...I am spinning the lighter one ( same colors, more diluted) right now.

Everyone's yarn looks fabulous!! Happy spinning....

all of it looks fantastic!!

I spun this Merino this week.  It is Vineyard from Spunky Eclectic.  It doesn't look like it all twisted like that, but it is comming out almost self striping, so I am trying to get enough yardage to make a Lady Eleanor out of it.

I haven't done any spinning this week, tho I've been knitting like a crazed thing.

I did do a bunch of dyework though!

CoffeePot Rock, superwash Merino 64's - A friend spun a bunch of this up, and it's just gorgeous.

Orange Berry Sherbet - Merino 64's - I did a dye job of this stuff a while back and spun a hefty skein for a holiday gift  I love how bright it is Cheesy

mm mm! Brown and pinks - a favorite color combo Cheesy  This is Raspberry Truffle, superwash merino 64's

And finally, some lovely muted greens.  Chaparral - superwash merino 64's

Greyling,
How did you like spinning the flax? I adore linen in clothing, but haven't yet brought myself to knit or spin with it...
