I actually just started it last night [after a frantic call to my knitting Mommy to figure out why my ribbing wasn't lining up]--and I'm definately not sticking with the recommended yarn.  I've picked out a--I guess it's a boucle-type yarn, Lion Brand Homespun in a pretty green color, knitted on size 10's.  It's a fun yarn to work with [and it was on sale! Which, I must admit, was my main motivation for picking it] but the ribbing doesn't seem to be showing up as well as it would on a non-curly yarn.

YAY! I can join this knittalong. I actually started a scarf exactly like this and didn't realise it was in the Stich n Bitch book. I'm doing mine on size 9 needles with acrylic yarn, it was the only thing that I had around when I had to urge to do a scarf. The yarns a pretty multicolor blue and purple. I'll post pictures as soon as I find my digital camera and some time!

hillsmel - I love that yarn!  It looks like the bernat demin - is it?  Great job!  I need to post a picture of mine.  Hopefully I'll have a change to break out the camera later.   Grin

Smiley I finished a chunky ribbed for her pleasure scarf.  It only took me about a weekend.  I used 100 gram yarn and size 15 needles.  It's super cozy.  I'll
try to post a picture soon.
