This was a custom quilt for a one-year-old girl, with the expectation that she would enjoy it as she grew older (so, not too baby-ish).  It's  a lap-sized quilt and features free motion quilting done by me on my regular, old sewing machine.

Very beautiful!

I'm in awe of quilters who are brave enough to try free motion quilting - I did once on a very small part of a quilt and ripped the whole thing out when I didn't like the look of it and now I'm not brave enough to try again.

One question - what you do put on the label on the back that is shown in the first picture?

The Back Says:

"This quilt was made for
Claire M_______
in Fairfax, VA
Christmas, 2006"

I always put where it was made and the date.  Sometimes I give the quilt a title and include my name.  I always include my name in a quilt that is a gift or for me.
