I saw the subject line and was all "That sounds cool!" and then clicked on it. And laughed. Caitie's turned out awesome, I didn't see it before you gave it to her!

I have the stringy bits all together for one, I just need jump rings to put it all together... Hint, Hint, Hint. Then you'll have pictures of more people's things!

i finished caitie's about a 1/2 hour before mom took it over to her, that's why you didn't see it!

i have tons more of that cotton too, if you wanted to use it.

i've stopped using jump rings and started using split rings, because i can't seem to work the jump rings and make them close entirely. mom's necklace kept slipping out of the rings, so i switched them all over to split rings and now it's way better. except that they kill my nails.. stupid things.

Woah!  Seriously... I usually bypass beaded crochet stuff because it's the metal kind and it's not my thing.  I cannot believe though that I haven't seen this post before.  I have to have to make some of these!!!

Thank you for posting the 2 you made.  Have you done any more?  I would love to see them!

Awesome job chica! Smiley

thanks you guys! i finally got pics of some new ones too! (i posted them with and without flash, i can't decide which is better!)

this one isn't actually new, i gave it to my mom for christmas but never got around to taking pictures of it. she wears it all the time.

white and clear beads on black cotton

this one i crocheted months ago for pinkyk, but i didn't get around to putting it together until a few weeks ago! i think the colours are totally luscious!

and this one i just finished! i made it for teapotdnky, and she can't have metal, so it was a bit more complicated!
instead of my usual "crochet a strand 15 or 20 feet long then put jumprings through", i had to crochet each strand seperately, and i couldn't add the charms later, so i had to try to position them properly. i searched everywhere for anchor charms that were plastic and wouldn't require jump rings to attach them, and was totally striking out until i found these in the scrapbooking section at the dollar store. they're plastic, but they look like they're clay or something. i bought them, removed the doublesided tape from the back, and then drilled holes in them. and then i drilled two holes in the star to make a button for the closure. it turned out SO well though, i'm completely in love with it. very very mermaid like!

hope you like them!
