those ARE extremely hot.

I want some purple ones...to wear to school... hehe. did you dye them?
to make them the different pinks?

and also are you wearing a living dead souls hoodie in that picture?

hot.

It came pre-dyed i have some that are black/multi

And yes... yes i am  Cheesy

I love this!!!! I love hair falls but they are so super heavy that my head hurts after a night out.
It would be awsome if you could make a tute for themwhen you have a chance cuz I need some desperately!

I will post a tute when I get home - My sister had her baby so I've had to drop everything and rush down to my mum and dads to get a lift to see her Smiley

omfg! wow. are they hard to make? and how much did they cost to make?

VERY easy to make, the wool was around 5.70 a hank, I used two for these, the elastic is about 35p a metre and the hair clips 99p for two.

Those are so fun!  I would love to make some to wear for our skate day - just to have the fun of watching the other homeschooling mommy's reactions! Grin

This is awesome -- I wonder if I could pull it off?

If you post a tute, I'll definitely make them. Blue and White?

Do you think I can get that wool in the US?

Haha sorry for all the questions.

OK, sorry for the delay!!

Sister having a baby, and lots of orders for my bags later... my tutorial is done!

You will all just think... is that it? because its sooo easy!!

I will post pics up to help explain the tutorial but atm photobucket is down!

**TUTORIAL**

For this you will need...

  • Cut 2 pieces of approx 25 cm of elastic- some people my prefer to use lace, but when i wore dreads with a lace attatchment they slipped out constantly, so I find elastic is better because you can tie it as tight as u want Smiley
  • Unravel your wool
  • Cut your wool-  Make sure you double up on this because you want even dreads!!! for the pink dreads I did a mixture of lengths, some I cut into metre strips, I dont suppose it matters, because if you have different lengths it gives more volume. With the metre lengths i got the length of the dreads I wanted, but also got the volume at the top.
  • Simply tie your wool to the elastic, aim to make your dreads volumey at the top, once you tie a few on, stretch the elastic and push them all together.
  • do the same with the hair combs
  • ALL DONE!

Now all u need to to is put ur hair up into two buns (get them as high as possible) and tie the elastic around them, slide the combs in if you want exta volume and put a thick headband/bandana over your real hair.

Et voila!

Hope that was easy to follow  Huh

The combs are optional. They're the hair grip type, for optional coverage at the top.

Is there more wool on the clips? and how did you attach it?
