Halloween Costume Help!

This year I am Halloweening as a Faery. I have a dress, and I bought wings, and personalized them a bit. I spray painted them black, and dumped sparkles on them...

Any ideas on how I could jazz it up a bit?

you could make a flower/ivy garland for your head with strands of ribbon and tulle coming off the back.  and a wand...and if you don't have shoes yet, you can get cheap ballet-type slippers somewhere and wrap ribbon up your leg ballet-style.
heh...i was a fairy in a play once.  my favorite part was putting lotion all over- chest, arms, face, and then putting glitter all over.  i had so much glitter on that my skin looked green.  it was awesome.

I help makes soo many girls into fairys every year... *sigh* anywho, go to snazaroo.com for ideas on painting your face/and or makeup ideas... also, get some awesome stockings and glue rinestones all over them, maybe put some crystals on your face/hands... make a wand and also paint your fair, or make it outrageous!  put flowers in your hair, you say your wings will be black, so maybe black roses...?  hope this helps, have fun!

It's all about the accessories.  Since your wings are black, I'm going with black ideas.

I love the way long gloves dress up a costume.  Actually, I prefer fingerless gauntlets and there is now finally a commercial pattern for them (the Chicago costume pattern by I think Simplicity), if you can sew. 

You can also take wide-ish (3/4 inch or so) black elastic, sew it into a loop to fit on your upper arm, and decorate with beads, sequins, feathers, etc.

A mask is always fun, one that just covers your eyes.  Decorate it and either wear it around your head with elastic or hot glue to a wooden dowel so you can just carry it and hold it up to your face.

It's easy to make a pretty headpiece, get a headband and attach beaded garland with wire, or glue on beads/sequins/feathers/etc.

You can trim the dress with strings of sequins or a feather boa.

Make a cute little purse that matches the costume.

You can make a nice wand by gluing silk flower(s) to the top and then hanging sheer ribbons down.

you could either use a mask (i personally like the ones that look like butterflies...) or just use a lot of eye shadow in a wing-y effect--if that doesn't make sense, heres some pictures:
