Fagoting is a kind of lace- it can be embroidered onto fabric, or knit.

I saw faggot stitch in my knitting book and wondered about trying it, and you just persuaded me to! I especially love the colours you chose.

(The name didn't bother me as much as that of the stitch afterwards, which was called Broken Rib...)

Hi guys.  Lovely scarf, Tinytallgirl.  I've edited out a bunch of off-topic comments.  Let's keep the topic on the scarf and the stitch and off philosophical debates, please. Cheesy

I think it can also be called cable stitch, but I'm not for sure.  Regardless, the scarf is really cute.

I've heard it called "fagot" stitch as well.  Does that help at all?

Also, beautiful scarf  Cheesy
