I have a skein of burgandy gloss. I'd call it a "true burgandy," too. I definitely think of this color when I think of burgandy.

so i'm spying on your knitalong so that i can figure out if i want to make this sweater...i don't think it looks very flattering on the model in the pattern pics, so i'm a little skeptical...but i want to see how yours turn out cuz i'm really bad at picturing a pattern in a different color or in a different yarn or even on a different person!  haha

i got my yarn and needles today, finally.  its debbie bliss baby cashmerino in this really pretty blue...  i'll post pictures once i get going.  i had to get size 3 needles instead of 2.5 but i figure i can make it work.

i'm so excited, this is my first sweater and i can't wait to start.  and the yarn is so pretty... yay

zknits - i think it just depends on your body type and what kind of fit you like. The pattern doesn't incorporate shaping but i'm going to do a little for my waist, i have big boobs with slightly larger hips so i dont want it to be too baggy around my waist. I really love the stitch pattern and everything of this sweater so i really hope it comes out wearable. I made it through my first skein of gloss that i bought to swatch and now i'm just waiting for my second order to get here

shaping is always good...or else it has to be hella tight!  haha  i hope you'll have some advice to offer on shaping superstitch!

I plan to add some shaping or make it so mine has way less ease than the one on the model. I agree it's not the most flattering fit on her, but I think I can make it work.

I just ordered yarn for this today!!...pallette in Green from Knitpicks.  I can't wait to start!

i swatched and cast on!  the swatch is 60% wrong because i was reading the pattern for in the round instead of back and forth, but you can see where i realized this and switched over.  i made perfect guage anyway.

After many days, and almost 2in of knitting i have realised that my Thermal is a moebius strip. Thats what happens when you make the fatty-boombah size on 60cm circs (you cant see the twistedness).

Its sitting there, glaring at me, daring me to frog it....

I'm about 4" into mine.  I love the stitch pattern!
