Here's my progress at the end of my first ball of yarn. (pardon the crappy picture. My camera is not feeling well apparently. And red does not photo well! It's darker in real life.)

I am just about halfway to the first measurement. (Sorry, I'm not looking at the pattern so I don't remember the wording. But I'm doing the "knit until 12 inches" part, after ribbing. I did the math and it's 80 rows to get to that point, I'm on row 36 now. Phew! It goes fast, and slow all at the same time.

And I heart the knitpicks gloss...this is going to be a soft sweater Smiley

It's on my list, but I have no idea when I will get to it.  I also want to lose a little more weight before I try to make clothing for myself.

iIlike the color and great work ibmomof2. You can really see gloss shine in the photo. I hope I can work on mine as soon as I find the right needles, I dont have anything less than a size 3 , oh well.

What do you guys think of this with 3/4 length sleeves? I have some hempathy in my stash that I bought when a whole bag went on clearance at my LYS, but I'm a little short on yardage. I think I'd have enough if I shorten the sleeves though. Or I could forget knitting from the stash and just break down and order the gloss.  Cheesy

I am definitely doing mine with 3/4 sleeves...I am constantly pushing up my sleeves anyway!

I'm using burgandy. It really is a pretty color.

Not pinkish at all...It's just washed out from the flash. The picture I took without the flash was even worse. When I think burgandy, this is a perfect match, in my opinion.

Hopefully, when I finish it, I can get a picture that really shows the true color. That's the only bad thing about the red family.
