Well, after I had (several) cups of coffee - that's what I thought was going to happen!  I shouldn't read posts before I'm fully awake.  Grin

Sending my info in!  What a great idea for a swap!

This sounds great!  I could make one for each of my kids and put them away for easter(unless, of course, there's going to be a frankenbunny round later...).  I wonder though, would it be possible to try to theme the fabrics just a little?  I know my son wouldn't be too keen on having a pink girly bear...  Maybe we could list one or two colors that we'd like to avoid?

ok i would like to sign up for this but i, like staceysew, dont understand one thing and it was not really answered.
does one person in the group get assigned one body part, cuts out like 5 of that body part, then sends them to the other people in their group so like one person has the head, one has the legs, one arms, etc?

that is what i am thinking you mean but i want to make sure before i question my parents if i am allowed.

It's my understanding that we each cut out the enitre pattern; each peice once.  Then we send, for example, the arm pieces to one person, the legs to another, the head to another and the body to another and so on...  That way there will be no duplicate bears!

you cut out an entire bear and the parts you send out will be the same as the parts you recieve.
no duplicate bears.

Sorry darlin, but teams and swap partners won't be asigned till a week before the send date and I don't think that would really be enough time for anybody to go and get special fabrics because you don't have what someone wants.  Plus I lived in a town where the local fabric shop sucked and the nearst decent one was three hours drive away, so I wanted to make this swap accesable by anyone by using stash fabric.
(we ALL have fabric in our stash we think is fantastic but havn't found a project to use it with so I believe the fabrics and bears will be great)

But I will put a note in the Q&A that says to please make the peices unisex.

And I must confess the reason I made the option to make two bears is because I have two beautiful nephews who I know would love a giant teady bear each that look kinda the same but kinda different.  I am glad to hear that someone else with a pair of children wants to do the same thing.

I have three boys and they don't care if they get t little bit of pink or flowered fabric in things. As long as it's not all pink and flowered. Patchwork is cool when it's all different kinds. Smiley

You're right!  A little pink never hurt anyone(besides, I'll let him pick which one he wants and then give the other to his sister, can't go wrong there).  Plus, I was just going through my stash and I found some really pretty fabric... as well at some boyish stuff...  This'll be fun.  I'm off to send in my info!
