So on TotalFark, they are having a Valentines day "care package" swap thing.  I got paired with a total stranger.  I don't know a whole lot about her, but she likes cats and works in real estate.

I am at a total lack of ideas about this.  I was thinking of taking all the fark cliches and making a "Happy Farking Valentines Day" card, and maybe paper macheing a heart shaped box, also with Fark cliches, but then there is that whole care package bit about it.

I don't know, I mean, what do you get a total stranger for Valentines day?  I would like for it to be crafty, but obviously functional and worth it for the other person to receive.  Anyone got any ideas or suggestions?

You could include a cat magazine. Since she likes cats. Otherwise, chocolate and soap comes to mind. You could do a little mini "spa" kit. Include some lotion, scented bath stuff, chocolates to eat, and the cat magazine to read.

laveder sachets?i don't know why i thought about them, but today i saw some very nice ones, silkscreened, i think they'd make nice gift, maybe with a cat theme...plus the bath stuff idea s really nice too:), maybe also a portable mirror, a decorated journal...

I'm not sure what it means by care package, but my friend made me a Valentine's Day/Single's Awareness Day kit that had stuff like this in it, and cute captions on the label:

Tissues (for if crying occurs)
Chocolate (What girl doesn't want chocolate?)
Tea/Coffee (soothing beverages, caffeine, need I say more?)
a Quarter (to call someone if needed)

etc etc.. It was really cute, and one of the funniest gifts I'd ever received.

"I know a mouse, and he hasn't got a house. I don't know why. I call him Gerald. He's getting rather old, but he's a good mouse."
