we have all kinds of cheap stores here that I take the clothes & make quilts out of the scraps, and I am even able to buy some of my crafting stuff for nickles on the dollar. We have more unclaimed baggages than we have stores...lol

they are some salvage stores in Sylvania A local church operates them. They also have stores in R'ville and Fyffe.

I'm in Birmingham so if I was to make a day trip what should I hit........are they obvious or will I wander around?

I'm from Macedonia (between Ft. Payne & Scottsboro). We really don't have any stores, but it's fun to go to second hand stores and buy beaded things and anything else I can take apart to recycle. It would be so cool to have a craft store closer than Huntsville, which is an hour away.
