yaaay, my first project with double knitting!  it actually turned out to be a lot easier than I had originally anticipated.  I found the chart at anticraft and then just kind of made up the pattern.  I knit this for my sister, so she picked out the yarn.  it's manos del uruguay in black and a kind of silvery gray.

I love how it goes from a snowflake to a skull.  Nice Job

That looks amazing! I have been eyeing up that pattern on the anticraft website, but you  have just bumped it way up my  knitting to do list! Well done!

That looks great!

On a very odd side-note: I really wish I had your sister's hair. I have shoulder-length straight hair that does it's own thing. No curling irons, curlers, gels, hair sprays or other hair products could ever get my hair to be anything but straight.  Angry

I like to do personal swaps now and again.

I knit, crochet, and make stitch markers.

Just pm me if you wanna swap. Smiley

thanks everybody!  it took me four days of solid knitting, but I got it done!

lizziibee: yeah, I liked the original design but it wasn't something I'd ever knit - takes way too long!  I like it better in this chunky yarn.  the only thing I changed was that I flipped the last chart (the snowflake) upside down.  that way when it hangs around her neck it will be right side up. (does that make sense?)

katokotin: thanks for the compliment!  I'll pass it along to my sis.

eatyerhartout: actually, she finds her hair to be kind of a pain.  mine is just wavy, for some reason the curly gene went straight to her.  it looks pretty, but in the summer it poofs out so much that it's like she's wearing a little shrub on top of her head.

I didn't know how to double knit either when I started.  there's a double knit knitalong going on which might be helpful.  other than that, you can find tons of tutorials on the web.  try knittinghelp.com
