Oh man that window cling look so cool. Samsara, is it that sorta sticky, feels like gel kinda thing? If it is, how in the world do you make those?!

I love those notecards Meshell!

Yes it is Avian - it comes in large tubes as a sort of liquid - you pipe it out onto a backing sheet and let it dry. It's really fun - like icing with sloppier icing. Good to do with kids!   Wink The colours look opaque when they're wet but dry transparent.  Grin

ShyArtist, I just got home, and your package was waiting for me in the mailbox!!!!  I AM SO EXCITED!!!!  I am going to eat and then take pictures and post!  Thank you, thank you!

I'm also so glad to see that you received and like everything! Smiley

I do love that print. Is it a linocut?

Actually, it's from a project that I do with my elementary students (I'm an art teacher).  You use Styrofoam and draw on it with a pen/pencil (anything that will make an indent)  Then you roll paint on the styrofoam with a brayer and print onto paper.  It's a lot of fun, and the kids really like it.

So easy! I am excited to try that method of printing. My husband has a  degree in printmaking (boohoo when he complained about homework as I was writing a 20 page essay) and he is always excited to see how I can come up with the ways to do printing. I've got some styrofoam at home now. Yippeee!

Ok, here are the great items ShyArtist sent me!  You're going to love them!!

First up, a set of 4 owl valentines.  They are super cute, but I'll have to decide which of my friends will be lucky enough to receive one!  (of course, I'll be keeping at least one for myself!)

Next, and I really do love these, is a set of 3 owl portraits.  I'm still deciding where I want to hang them.  If my boyfriend doesn't mind, I might hang them above our bed!

The next two tie for my favorite because I really like them as a set.

I have to say, I love knit stuff because I've never been able to knit.  ShyArtist said this is the first thing she's ever knitted, and it is totally fabulous.  I put it on after I took the picture, and it's so warm!  It's also got the best oranges and my FAVORITE green color around the border.

Action shot:

And last, but not least, is the sleepy owl pin.  I collect pins/brooches, and this is perfect to add to my collection!  I do love how he looks on the scarf!

This was an awesome swap!  It was my first one, and I had such a great time.  Thanks for giving me such a great partner, and thanks, Avian Flight, for organizing!

teehee that owl hat is so funny looking in a cute way.

I was upset at my bf because he's so busy with work that he's been ignoring me for the last two days. So I went to craftster and this gallery cheered me up considerably. Craftster therapy is so nice. Now if only the mail man would bring stuff for me tomorrow.  Smiley

I love it all! Wow- you are all very talented. I think Shyartist's owl pin is adorable- is that paint for the feather detail, or embroidery?

Meshell - I'm so so glad you like everything, I was a little worried! It was very hard for me to let go of those owl portraits because they looked perfect hanging on my green walls  Grin !

Wiseowl - It's fabric paint. I tend to use that for everything lately, even on my collages and scrapbooking. I just love the texture!

I received my Owlie goodies from SewingLori yesterday! Look at this awesome lot!  Grin

I received a sewing projects bag from my Wists with the most wonderful embroidered owl on the front and loads of amazing pockets and flaps inside! A pack of owl postcards, some owl writing paper, a gorgeous owl necklace with little carved owls on, some coasters and some extra material and ribbon for me to play with!

I love it all! Thank you so much SewingLori!  Cheesy
