I know that to sell on Etsy you need to have a credit card. If I was to use the credit card almost exclusively for Etsy, what kind of credit card would be best to get? I've never had one before so I don't know what to look for, but I'd like one with very little to pay as far as credit card fees go. Like as long as I pay on time, no trouble, you know what I mean? I have a lot of recycled paper to sell and could make a lot more nice crafts, but I'd hate for credit card fees to take up all my profit! Any suggestions would be great!

I love my debit cards, which means you can't spend money you don't have, and you can transfer $ from Paypal (and other services?) to your debit Smiley

There are tons of cards out there that don't have any monthly/annual fees beyond the monthly interest.  And if you pay it off every month there won't be any interest anyway.

But a debit card (the kind with a visa/mc logo on it from your bank where the money actually comes out of your bank account instead of going onto a credit account) would work and as long as you have the money in there (to avoide overdraft fees) there wouldn't be any fees at all.

Yup, my card is freefreefree
That just depends on which bank you go to, though.

I know if I want to I could get a debit card, but you're ignoring the context - Etsy doesn't currently take debit cards - only credit cards. So if I'm limited to a credit card I just wondered what would be a good option. I think I'll talk to someone at my bank about it.

I got a bank account for the sole purpose of opening an Etsy store...I use my bank-issued debit card without any problems.

Debit cards work exactly the same way as debit cards.  The only difference is that it takes it right out of your bank account and you don't have to pay any ungodly percentages or whatnot.

Actually, she (?) means that "debit cards work exactly the same was as credit cards".  They come with a Visa or MasterCard logo on them and when you use them in a store the cashier will ask you if you want to use it as a debit or credit card.  You can do either.  So with etsy, just put it in as a credit card.

My debit card is the only card registered with etsy and it works perfectly fine Smiley
