so, I had a pile of mini canvases sitting around and no real intention to ever paint on them (I'm more of a watercolor gal.) so I pulled the canvas off the frames, embroidered it, and stuck it back on. voila, perfect little art pieces! the white ones are canvas, the green one is green fabric.

What a great idea!!! I've got some small canvases I'm not likely to paint on too, so now I know what to do with them Cheesy
Thanks for the inspiration!

Wow, that seems like a lot of work-getting the canvas off I mean. Looks great though! I love the bottom left one!

Merwing-you are so clever:) This is a great idea and you do beautiful work:) While I don't have any canvas, I do have so cheapy $1 laminate pictures and some heavy linen and I think I'll try this.

Might embroider in some more colours and so, right now it looks kinda 'naked'. Thanks again for the great idea, I'm having lots of fun, the canvas is perfect for this Cheesy

thanks everyone, for all the comments! I'm glad you all like them. Smiley

FairlightMuse: it was a little difficult prying out some of the staples. I used a screwdriver to pop them out.
