Please dont send anything you yourself would not be happy to receive. :-)

This post is reserved for future swap updates.

Update*1/28/07
Please keep in mind when listing yarns that you do not want to receive that if you choose not to receive any acrylics and only want natural fiber yarns, your matches might be extremely limited as it would be unlikey that someone has an envelope full of natural fibers that they'd be willing to part with
Wink Please be open to receiving a variety of yarns. On the yarns you wish not to receive section of the questionaire please list specific types of yarn you'd rather not receive. Example: if you hate eyelash yarn, or tape yarns or red heart yarn etc please note that so that your partner will know not to include any of those.Hope that helps to clarify things a bit. Grin

signed up! Yay!

Hey, just a little question, do the yarns that we send have to be complete skeins, and do they have to be commercial, recognizable yarns?

Hey there Superhooker, glad to have you!
Id prefer them to be complete skeins so that you partners know how much they have to work with, that is unless you want to measure it out. I dont have one of those electronic measure thingies so for me it'd be a pain. lol
*updated*
I have decided to open this up to partial skeins too as long as you can list approx how much yardage is still left and can list the yarn contents ie:wool, acrylic, mixed types, cotton/modal. etc.
And it does nothave to be a recognizable brand. I myself know Id love to receive some handspun yarn!

Hints of how to measure yardage in partial skeins: ( found this online and modified it a bit)
Weigh the partial skein of yarn on a postal/kitchen scale. Use the digital scale at the post office or grocery store if possible. Measure out 10 yards and weigh that 10 yards to determine how much 1 yard weighs. For example if 10 yards weighs x then you know 1 yard weighs x divided by 10. (I do this extra step for accuracy, you can weigh just 1 yard if your digital scale is sensitive enough to weigh it accurately.) Using the weight of 1 yard and the weight of the entire lot of yarn you can calculate the approx. yardage of the entire skein
