my boyfriend asked what i was looking at, and now he wants to know if i can learn how to make a t-shirt out of old undies.

i think i'll focus on finding an old t-shirt to cut up.  i can't wait to try this!

has anyone tried making a version with ruffles all over the bum, kind of little-girl's-underwear-meets-burlesque style?  i've seen them for sale, but they're so expensive!

I've never tried making those before, but I really want to!!  I used to have a pair when I was little, haha Smiley  If I successfully make a pair, I will definitely post!

These are great! I have  a panty obsession/fetish and spend way too much money, hopefully I'll be able to master the tut and make tons!!! I'm sooo excited now, I'm gonna go find some t-shirts.

Also, for the elastic, how do you get it to stay elastic-y even after you sew it? I find that the stiches dont allow it to stretch. Thanks

A lot of sewing machines have a zigzag stitch that uses three short stitches instead of one long one for each zigzag.  According to my manual, that will help it stay stretchy.  But if it doesn't work, blame Brother, not me. Wink

Love the undies!  I've got a bunch of ratty old Carribean Soul shirts that would look very good (OK, very big) on my ass. Grin
