I had a request to try out making a sock ferret. I've owned ferrets beofre so I wonder why I hadn't thought of this myself. Anywho here is my sock ferret. I named her Widget after my darling little carpet shark.

I'm not entirely sure if she's done. I had wanted to add some light colored gaurd hairs but was unable to find the right color floss. I also may decide to add some light colored felt right behind her eyes to make them stand out a little more. I think the eyes I found are perfect though. I just happened across them at Wal-Mart.

thanks for looking. questions/comments are more than welcome as please let me know if there is an animal you'd like to see.

Hurrah for ferts! Mine both LOVE stuffed animals, so a sock ferret around here would certainly be adopted by the flesh and bones variety. And stashed under the couch, of course.

Very very very cute! I am gaining more and more respect for sock creatures every day! I am tempted to clean out my sock drawer (but I still want to wear them!)! Did you have to use 2 socks? And how big is she?

craftADDchick,  She's lifesize....well, life size to my ferret. I guess I had small ones. let's see, she's 13 inches long by 6 inches high.

The ferret used One sock and some sock scraps.

devilninny, I haven't tried an bugs yet. no wait that's not true I have a snail. I can give an ant a go. Red or Black?
