"I object!" ~Legally Blonde Blazer

It all started with a hot-pink briefcase... 

I spotted it at a yard sale and now it's my official debate (yes, I'm a geek ) bag, prompting it's official nickname as the legally blonde bag. As the movie and its sequel are simply awesome, I decided that I simply had to have a blazer to match!;D

The style is mainly based on the second movie, where Elle goes to Washington. I tried to find a good pic of one of the cute suits she wears, and this is the best I could do:

The fabric is a lovely hot pink and lime green houndstooth; the colors are the most accurate in the first photo. It's fully lined and reeeally comfortable.

I'm seriously considering a matching skirt. 

Well anyway, that's my entry. Can't wait to see everyone else's!

I slightly modified a New Look pattern (I can't find the number right now) to turn it into a blazer. The straight jacket look-- not so flattering

This was one of my best remnant snags yet! Pink, green, stretch, and houndstooth for six dollars at G street fabrics (a local chain)

The shirt does go perfectly, which is hilarious considering I bought it without thinking about that at all... I guess I'm always subconsciously drawn to the same shade of pink...   

After spending about an hour trying to wrestle pics off of my evil, evil camera, I gave in, so I'm afraid I don't have any pics with the hot pink briefcase. You can however see it in the background in the action shot.

So cute! I was in debate last year and I had a hot pink file box that I carried around and I had covered the top in rhinestones...haha people in my rounds never took me seriously, until I won. Super cute suit!! Makes me want to go back in debate.
