I'm playing around with my 2007 Microsoft publisher (where I do almost everything) and I downloaded a new digital scrapbooking set for babies and just for the heck of it, even though my daughter will be 18 next month, I made a birth announcement for her.

I love the font color option - it lets you pick a color from any thing on your page so you can match it exactly. And then I formatted it to make it look embossed. And oh yeah, there's a blank there cuz I took out the last name... no girl wants anyone to know their weight right?
What do you think?

I really admire the digital cards.  I am wondering what is the very easiest and most basic and least expensive way to start, I have no idea where to begin

To do the people there is a free program called Daz Studio.

http://www.daz3d.com/i.x/software/studio/140d0cf626677e6596322fff4e9a0ce4/?

You can find free stuff for it all over the place.

You can buy Paint Shop Pro XI for around 59.99 or 69.99 either online or at stores. Or maybe search for a different version on E-bay. My favorite PSP is 7 and X.

I use Photoshop CS and Poser Pro Pack, 5, 6 and 7. But you really don't have to spend a lot of money to do this.

There are tutorials all over the net to learn how to do both programs I've mentioned.

Kaleesi, not much, I just have the very basics, Word, Excel, Paint, Microsoft photo editor, HP scanner that came with the HP solution center...I was trying to do something with the Paint and the photo editor, I am going to play around with them some more when I get the chance

I suggest the GIMP for starting out with.  Its a very powerful program, but its FREE.  It does have a learning curve to it, but its worth it.
And you can do searches for free poser tubes to use, such as freeposertubes.com.
