I just quit my day job and am focusing 100% of my efforts on marketing my jewelry business.  I've been looking for consignment shops on the web and would like to also sell my stuff wholesale to some retail boutiques.

I'm going to visit my Mom on Oahu next week and I'll be bringing some of my line with me to show if I can find some cool shops.

Does anyone know of any funky/ hip/ indie type shops on either Maui or Oahu?
Here are some examples of my bracelets:

you might want to check with ravencrum, she owns a shop and posted that she is looking for handmade wares to sell.

This is a link to a post with her myspace link as well.

Good Luck!

hey! i no longer live on oahu (boo!!) but the indie arts scene there is just bursting! it's exciting. i think someone might have mentioned it, (via ravencrum) you might want to check out http://www.stylushonolulu.com/ they're on myspace too: http://www.myspace.com/stylushonolulu. also, if you'll be there for a "first friday" (or "second saturday") in chinatown you could check out galleries and shops down there to make connections. (check out the Honolulu Weekly--free "alternative" paper for other ideas).

Also, my experience on maui is limited, but there are lots of cool shops in Paia.

hope that helps!

The art museum gift shops also take consignment, at least the Honolulu Academy of Arts does. They're a little conservative, but they might like the nikko/cat. You take your stuff in, there's a form and a panel reviews it and if they like it they'll order stuff from you.  I used to volunteer there before I had my baby.

Yay for summer!
