My friend moved into a new apartment in December and since then I've been working on a house warming present.  She moved in the 15th, I finished the blanket today.  It was the longest I've ever spent on a project, but I like how it turned out.  The blanket is 5.5 feet in diameter at the points.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that part Smiley

The maroonish red color is an off brand from Craft Warehouse, I think it's called Accord, it was super cheap (~$1.50 for 100 yrds).  The black is Caron Simply Soft, my favorite yarn these days Smiley

Beautiful!
I love simply soft too.  Everytime I go to make something I think, 'I'm definitely going to use something different this time!' and then I end up buying a ton of simply soft.

I made all three of my daughters hats/scarf/mitten sets a different color of simply soft for each girl...but I don't have any pics yet...that would probably be a good idea!

A month is the longest you've spent on any project?  Heck, I just finished a blanket that took 2 years. (Wasn't fancy, I was just lazy!)

Your project looks really cool.  I love that Simply Soft too!

Oh wow, I love this. I need to make something like that for my one year old, she's outgrowing all of her baby blankets!
